Someone Knows Something

Investigations about the people who get hurt when the systems meant to protect us fail, hard. Not by accident, not from poor planning, but because someone chose to do wrong — and others chose to do nothing. In When it All Went Wrong with chief correspondent Adrienne Arsenault as your guide, CBC’s best journalists go deep over multiple episodes to reveal the fault lines in institutions we’ve come to trust and the fates of people caught in the middle. The latest investigation, The Missing Boys, follows two teens who disappear after being lured by gangs to traffic drugs far from home. Hosted by Mark Kelley, this four-episode story is a co-production with CBC’s the fifth estate. This is episode one of the investigation, episode two is available here: https://link.mgln.ai/WIAWWxSKSxS1Ep2 More episodes of When it All Went Wrong are available wherever you get your podcasts, and here: https://link.mgln.ai/WIAWWxSKS

Digging deeper, David talks to an eye witness who says she saw something the night Jackie disappeared. David works with producer María José Burgos to call the authorities to get access to Jackie's investigative file. What did police find? Did they have a suspect?

David talks to the neighbours and others in town, and tracks down security guards from Jaclyn’s gated community. Gathering the fragments. What did people see or hear? Where did Jackie go?

Sebastién reveals some of the cracks beneath he and Jaclyn’s relationship and tells the story of what he remembers from Jackie's last day.
